PAVE is an independent non-profit foundation that makes excellent educational opportunities possible for Milwaukee families.

 

PAVE fulfils this mission through scholarship support for low-income families, leadership support for urban school leaders, the fostering and leveraging of diverse partnerships to improve urban schools, and capital improvements and program development that increase the capacity of urban schools to educate more low-income students successfully.

 

PAVE's current school improvement projects facilitate school improvement through program development throughout the year and day, and the fostering of partnerships with outside groups to enrich learning and to provide supplemental services to families.

 

PAVE has invested over $27 million in scholarships to over 17,000 families since 1992, with 86% of PAVE scholarship graduates enrolled in college in 2006. PAVE has invested over $16 million in school expansion projects since 2001, leveraging over $60 million in total private investment on the development of high-performing urban schools.
